Jimmie Lanley, co-owner of iHomeschool Network, is a work-at-home mom who homeschools her daughter Emma. Jimmie’s background is in education (BA in English and a MS in education). It was after seven years of teaching middle school language arts in public schools that she began homeschooling her then Kindergartner.
Besides her work at iHN and her own blogs, Jimmie is a social media consultant and manager for several clients.
Jimmie lived for over eight years in China and currently lives in Memphis, TN.
Amy is a Christian wife of 18 years to her knight in shining armor and mom to their 14-year-old scientist. They have homeschooled since birth using a classical, literature-rich method.
Amy has a passion for genealogy and a love for helping others trace their family trees to learn more about their roots. In fact, not only is she a descendant of King Alfred the Great, Charlemagne, William the Conqueror and three Mayflower Pilgrims, but also General Robert E. Lee, and President Teddy Roosevelt are her distant cousins.
She and her family are die-hard Whovians and Trekkies, she adores her husband and son, loves sweet tea, small kitchen appliances, and holidays, even the silly ones like National Eat Like a Hobbit Day. You can find her blogging at Milk and Cookies.
Renee Aleshire Brown has a heart for writing, cooking, and caring for her family. She’s been married to her Beloved, Michael, for 22 years, it was through adoption that they became parents to Jonathan. Striving to nurture him through Biblical guidance Renee homeschools to provide a customized gifted education in a faith filled environment. Renee is now offering her services as a virtual assistant. Marlene Griffith is a wife to an amazing husband and a mom to a handful of amazing kiddos. She is the author of A Diligent Heart where she writes about a little bit of everything, such as homeschooling, faith, marriage, family, and parenting. Joan Otto and her teenage daughter, Sarah, are radical unschoolers living and learning together in York, PA, and sharing their adventures at Unschool Rules. Joan works full-time as a newspaper editor and freelances as a technical Joan-of-all-trades, from virtual assistant to social media manager to WordPress guru. She loves a good collection of office supplies, dreams of going to medical school, has her black belt in tae kwon do and changes her hair color with stunning frequency.
